In January 2024, Morena joined the Val Group as a Senior Advisor in the partner agency Alpheus. Her extensive experience includes diplomacy, media relations, and representing Croatia within the EU and European institutions. She spent the past ten years at the Permanent Representation of Croatia to the EU in Brussels, where she was one of the key figures in developing and implementing communication strategies and coordinating media and communication activities between the EU and Croatia. Her diplomatic experience, as well as her expertise in public relations, was particularly enriched during the preparation and execution of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the EU. In this role, she worked beyond the broader national frameworks, coordinating overall European communication efforts to overcome challenges caused by the COVID pandemic. Through her longstanding work in Brussels, she developed a ‘Brussels’ understanding of the political, economic, and cultural nuances of the EU, crucial for diplomatic negotiation and overcoming differing positions between EU member states and numerous EU institutions.
Her passion for travel fuels her inspiration, while movies of all genres and cinematography nurture her passion for the seventh art. When the season offers the opportunity, she enjoys skiing or sailing.
